Colorado Blueprint for Economic Development

Colorado Logo
Office of Economic Development and International Trade

Governor Hickenlooper announces draft of economic development work plan for Colorado.

The Governor has worked closely with the whole Cabinet to draft the Colorado Blueprint — a document that responds to outlines the steps that will be taken by the Hickenlooper Administration over the next few years to support and promote economic development across Colorado. We’ve heard about your priorities and needs and believe we have captured your concerns and identified meaningful work plans to keep Colorado moving forward. The action items included have emerged from the "bottom-up" process as appropriate and feasible ways for the state to assist in economic development on a local and regional level.

The Blueprint will be available for public comment until August 10th. After you review it, please take our survey.

The Colorado Blueprint provides a foundation to continue working together, based on your inputs and ideas. We are grateful for your participation and guidance in this process.

Calculate the Commute on WalkScore

When buying a home, the commute to work can be a large consideration.

WalkScore just made it amazingly easy to figure out how much time will be spent commuting!

Tell your clients to click the "WalkScore" tab on MySite and click the "Your Commute" option shown here.

Then enter their work address and click "Go" to see their commute by car, bus, foot, or bike:

The routes change based on the type of commute chosen. For instance, I25 might be chosen for driving, but county roads and side streets will display for biking. Give it a whirl on IRESis too, on the Neighborhood tab of the Report Window.
