Window 8 & Internet Explorer 10 Released

Microsoft officially released Windows 8 on Friday, October 26th. Windows 8 includes Internet Explorer 10 which is the only version of Internet Explorer that will run. If you choose to upgrade to Windows 8, please be advised that our development team is testing IRESis to ensure a good user experience when using that browser. The following are known issues that we are working to address as soon as possible:
  • Active X controls are not supported on the default version of Internet Explorer which will prevent Aurigma, the multi-image uploader, from working. Until we can release a fix, you will need to upload photos one at a time or use Firefox or Chrome to upload multiple images at once.
  • Print outs may appear in small print. Uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver may work as a temporary fix.
We will post updates as we receive more information. In the meantime, you may choose to use the most recent versions of Firefox or Chrome with no issues.

There are 2 versions of Internet Explorer 10 available on Windows 8 - "Metro" mode which is the default or the "Desktop" mode. "Metro" mode does not support flash and therefore Realist, our public records system, is only compatible with the "Desktop" version. In order to switch to Desktop mode:
  1. Open IE 10 in "Metro" mode.
  2. Click on Page Tools (wrench icon) from the status bar at the bottom of the browser.
  3. Click "View on the desktop" from the menu.

Don't Miss Your ColoProperty & Realtor.com Leads!

ColoProperty.com®, your marketing partner, has been very busy lately. In the past 30 days, more than 400 leads have been emailed to IRES subscribers!

Where do these leads come from?  When a consumer clicks the "Request Info" button on a listing, that email request is sent to the Listing Agent:
Consumers expect an almost immediate response to questions they ask on the internet. In order to meet their expectations and keep your lead, we suggest you create an email filter so they are quickly brought to your attention.

How do you flag these email leads?

ColoProperty.com® leads are From: email@ColoProperty.com.
Realtor.com® leads are From: realtormarketingsystem.inquiry@realtor.com

Create an email filter to flag these leads in your inbox. For example, the email below has been flagged with a star and has been labeled as a "Lead":

Every email program is different, but in order to create a filter look for the "Preferences", "Settings", or "Options" section. Instructions for Gmail are below:

1. Go to Settings (the "gear" icon)
2. Click "Filters".
3. Click "Create a new filter:.
4. Enter email@ColoProperty.com in the "From" field.
5. Click "Create filter with this search".
6. Choose how you would like the email to be flagged.
7. Click "Create Filter".
8. Follow the same steps for the email address realtormarketingsystem.inquiry@realtor.com.

NOTE: If you check your mail through the web site (e.g. gmail.com), Outlook, and probably most email apps these filters will display. Be aware that if you check your mail through the Apple email program on an iPhone or iPad they will not display as Apple does not support them at this time.
