Here’s a technology option you
might not have tried yet: QR codes. A QR code is a barcode (just like on items at the
grocery store) that can be scanned with a smart phone to access information or
a website. We’re going to show you how to create a barcode that leads people to
your listing on ColoProperty.com®, like the one below. Once created,
you can place the QR code on brochures and flyers to quickly direct buyers to
your listing online.
1) Go to ColoProperty.com® and pull up the detail page
of your listing. Copy the url and go to www.mobile-barcodes.com/qr-code-generator.
Simply paste your url into the field and click “Submit”. Your QR code has been generated!
2) Right click (or Command/click for Macs) and
copy or save the image. Then paste it or upload it wherever you would like.
Your flyers and brochures are perfect because they give buyers access to
listing details, ALL of the photos, virtual tours, map location, Walkscore, and
it’s all branded with your contact information. If they click "Request Info", the lead is emailed straight to you!
3) You need a barcode scanner on your smart
phone to pull this whole thing together. Go to either the Market or the App
store and search for “barcode scanner” or “barcode reader”. Download the app of
your choice (for free), open it and scan the QR code above to see what buyers
will see when they scan your listing’s QR code.
